Abrobiano with a population of 3,738 has a significant percentage of its population with the ages (4 to 18 years) of school-going children. With the presence of two community schools, the community has a relatively high enrollment. However, these students are greatly disadvantaged in their studies as they do not have access to reading materials and to experience this new world of digital dominance.

It is for this reason that after several meetings and deliberations with community members, the community decided that amongst the many needs, a Computer Laboratory and a Library should be tackled at this point to afford their children some educational equality as against their counterparts in urban centres for them to explore at their academics.

However, this project is into two phases. Phase one is the computer lab which is to be tackled by the Community and CorpsAfrica/Ghana while the second phase is the library is in collaboration with the Central Regional Directorate of the Ghana Library Authority who has pledged to donate the needed books for the Library for free, provided the community install shelves for them. As of the time of date this report was submitted, the Regional Director had not given a specific date for the donation of the books even though he has given the assurance that it is being worked on. However, the project received some books from Book Aid International to start with.

At the end of the day, 35 computers were procured for the computer lab project, with support for Zipline Ghana who donated 15 laptops to make the 35 we have. The 80 books we received from Book Aid International has also been shelved with hopes of receiving the pledge from the Library Authority.
