Mohammed Wunnam Zakaria is a Registered Nutritionist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies.
He hails from Tamale in the northern part of Ghana. He worked with Lead for Ghana, an NGO building a network of solution-driven leaders expanding educational opportunities to children in Ghana as a fellow in Savelugu Municipality and as an alumni teacher in Chereponi Senior High School for 3 years.
He led several projects in these communities to address inequalities, which included serving as a volunteer to train Junior High School students on a three-month-long course on financial literacy under the Cha-Ching program implementation by JA Ghana in the Savelgu Municipality.
He believes that Leadership is fully utilized if one can make significant contributions to people’s lives and transform communities. As an ardent believer in using leadership positions to create lasting change, he served as the Financial Secretary for the National Service Personnel Association of Ghana for Savelugu Municipal chapter and Northern Region chapter during his time as state-mandated National Service. These endeavors aided his personal and professional development.
He has a genuine interest in working in rural communities and a strong desire to see positive change.
