Pape Abdoulaye WADE is from the Dakar region, more precisely from the commune of Thiaroye Gare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and a master’s degree in local and community development from the African Institute for Local Development in Thies.
Before joining CorpsAfrica/Senegal, Pape Abdoulaye was involved in community development and digital communication initiatives. In 2019, he co-founded a digital communication startup called Cowrie Dev. It is involved in everything related to IT, the creation of mobile applications and websites, digital marketing, etc. His mission was to coordinate all the tasks of the startup and was in charge of the Digital Marketing sector.
He also went on study trips during his university studies, notably to the Kaffrine region in 2018 working on the education of young girls, and in 2019 in the locality of Diofior studying the agricultural challenges of this area.
Eager to serve his country, he also worked in 2023 on the project to support the strengthening of the civil status information system and the consolidation of a national biometric identity file called NEKKAL as an indexing agent.
As a CorpsAfrica/Senegal Volunteer, Pape Abdoulaye set himself the goal of serving his host community to positively impact it and continue to serve his country.
He served in Kolane, a predominantly Balante village, located in the commune of Simbandi Balante (Goudomp department and Sedhiou region) and about twenty kilometers from the Guinea-Bissau border.
Now, he has signed up as an Exchange Volunteer at CorpsAfrica/Malawi to continue serving and impacting African communities.
