UWINEZA Gratia was born and raised in Rwanda. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery, from the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Science. During her university studies, she completed her academic internships at Kabgayi District Hospital, Kabutare District Hospital, and Nyamata Level ll Teaching Hospital. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Gratia was a member of the Rwanda Red Cross. Apart from that, she has attended different trainings and conferences such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Global Health training, and Leadership and Personal Growth Movement. Gratia also did data entry in openMRS (medical record system) at Gihara HC located in Kamonyi District. Gratia also is a registered Midwife and is passionate about listening to people’s needs and is committed to helping them to achieve happier lives. She believes that the most significant source of happiness is working together, to help everyone to reach their goals. Gratia also sees being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer as a means to fulfill her dreams of serving the community.
