Grace Uwimbabazi was born in 1999 in Rwanda’s Southern Province and is the second of five siblings. From a young age, she demonstrated a passion for literature and languages. Her journey began at GS Cyarwa, where she participated in local writing competitions, often impressing judges with her creative flair. This love for literature continued through secondary school at ES Butare and later at ES Gikonko for A-Level studies, where she specialized in literature in English, Kinyarwanda, and Kiswahili, immersing herself in cultural narratives and literary works. Grace completed an internship in education at GS Cyarwa, where she taught literature courses in English to A-level students. She also obtained a First Aid certificate, driven by her desire to positively impact her community. This experience not only equipped her with essential skills but also deepened her understanding of the importance of health and safety, especially in rural areas. Currently single and exploring her passions, Grace continues to engage with her community, volunteering to teach younger students about the joys of reading and writing. She is now a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda, where she is dedicated to community development. In her free time, she enjoys storytelling and learning about other cultures, striving to improve education and serve her community through her volunteer work.
