Tumusiime Angella is a dedicated and self-motivated Community Development professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration. She has two years of experience in social work, project planning and management, and community-led initiatives across key sectors including Partnership management, market system development for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and farmer groups, social behavioral change, nutrition, and general sustainable development. She brings a multidisciplinary approach and technical expertise in Community-Led Development, Human Centered Design, and Asset-Based Community Development. She previously worked with Challenges under the Youth to Work program to develop small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through market research and recommending and implementing strategies to improve performance. She has made significant contributions through her roles at CorpsAfrica/Uganda as a Volunteer working with youth groups to develop themselves and create jobs through bakery, horticulture, soap making, and livestock farming projects while they realize their potential. She also worked with a women’s group to nurture their culture while earning income through crafts and consequently improving their livelihoods. Through her service in Kabatema village-Lyantonde district, she facilitated the set-up of a nursery bed with over 25000 trees, promoted nutrition in 92 homes through kitchen vegetable garden interventions, and also worked with a group of PeaceCorps Volunteers to mentor a group of teenage girls about self-esteem, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, income generating activities like popcorn making, and liquid detergent making among other skills. She is currently an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda.
