Tigist Tadesse works as a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia as a Program Coordinator. She holds her Master’s degree in social work from Addis Ababa University of Ethiopia, a degree in Ethiopian Language and Literature from the same institution, and a Diploma in Ethiopian Language and Literature from Kotebe College of Teacher Education. Tigist has 14-plus years of experience in various organizations in different positions. Before she joined CorpsAfrica, she worked in Peace Corps Ethiopia as a Program and Training Specialist for the last 4 years. In this position. Tigist’s role was to work closely with volunteers by organizing training, communicating with their counterparts, and visiting volunteers at their sites. Before this position, Tigist served as a Language and Culture Facilitator at Peace Corps Ethiopia for 10 years. During her stay in the Peace Corps, Tigist gained experience in how to work with different people has different cultures, languages, and life backgrounds and also got a chance to introduce her local language and culture to foreigners. Tigist has also 5 years of teaching experience before the Peace Corps in various private schools and NGOs.
