Benjamin Soro joined CorpsAfrica as the inaugural Director of CorpsAfrica in Côte d’Ivoire, bringing 17 years of extensive field experience in social and behavior change communication (SBCC) and humanitarian action to the role. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, he held the position of Deputy Country Director at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) in Côte d’Ivoire, where he led a team of nearly 70 staff. His previous experience includes serving as the Regional Communication Manager for the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) across West Africa, supporting war refugees and displaced populations, and as a Capacity Strengthening Advisor for Save the Children. A seasoned trainer in leadership and SBCC, Benjamin has also participated in several international events such as the Social and Behavior Summit, The 63rd Commission on the Status of Women, and the 100th meeting of the International Labour Organization. Deeply committed to gender equality and local development, Benjamin volunteers with community initiatives, including a women-run shea butter cooperative in his hometown.
