Born in the rural community of Sadio in the center-west of the country, particularly in the Mbackè department of the Diourbel region, Magatte Sokhna is a girl who is very passionate about everything related to science and community development. She was born and raised in rural areas, the daughter of a large farming family. She graduated in July 2010 with a university degree at the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique in Dakar where she obtained her first degree in Computer Science in 2012-2013. Then she was selected to do the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Applied Science and Technology Training and Research Unit (UFR SAT) at Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis (2013-2014). Outside the computer, she likes to go to work in the fields to accompany the family during the holidays because she would say that “to cultivate” has always been a hobby since her childhood and she will never stop doing it. Apart from that, she did a lot of internships as a superior technician in computer science, web development, software engineering, networks, and systems within some companies like the CRENT (Center for Digital Environmental Work Resources) UCAD located at the ESP / Dakar, Futures Technologies located at Yoff-Diamalaye, at the Ousmane Seck Computing Center of the UGB (CCOS). She is a member of several associations like the Union of Students and Students of Sadio, Women Entrepreneurs.
