Mark Sikubwabo was born and raised in Nyaruguru district, the Southern Province of Rwanda. He graduated from the University of Rwanda, College of Arts and Social Sciences with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Communication with a major in Communication. He has worked with different online media in Rwanda and served as a Communication Specialist at MMD Gira ubikire, a local Non-Governmental Organization. He also conducted the Conflict Sensitive Journalism project with Ejo Youth Echo Organization as a Senior Reporter. Mark has attended a 2-day training on Solutions Journalism under Science Africa. He also attended a 1-month training on Direct Sales Agent under ITM Africa and I&M Bank Rwanda. He supervised different community-based projects like ‘Smart Fuel’ and ‘Green Home’ while serving in Gisagara district. Joining CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer gives him a valuable opportunity to give back to the community and prepares him for a productive career in the development sector.
