Marc Sikubwabo was born and raised in Rwanda. He graduated from the University of Rwanda and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication with a major in Communication. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, he worked with various online media outlets and served as a Communication Specialist at MMD Gira Ubukire NGO. Later, he worked as a Sales Agent at I&M Bank Rwanda and collaborated with Educate! as a Youth Leader in over 20 schools in both Karongi and Ngororero districts. He also led the Conflict Sensitive Journalism project with Ejo Youth Echo Organization as a Senior Reporter and participated in a 2-day training on Solutions Journalism under Science Africa. Additionally, he completed a 1-month training on Direct Sales Agent under ITM Africa and I&M Bank Rwanda and received certification in Regulation in Today’s Competitive Telecommunications Environment from Carnegie Mellon University. Marc has overseen various community-based projects, such as ‘Smart Fuel’ and ‘Green Home,’ while working in Gisagara district. He aspires to make a meaningful impact by volunteering with CorpsAfrica and contributing to the community. Extending to Cohort 5 offers him a valuable opportunity to continue giving back to the community and prepare for a productive career in the development sector.
