Agnes Nyiransabima was born in Karongi District and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production from the University of Rwanda. Her journey includes a professional internship at Bridge 2 Rwanda Farm, where she gained hands-on experience in conservation agriculture and foundation farming, focusing on principles like minimal soil disturbance and crop diversity.
In 2021, she also served as an Enumerator at Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF), contributing to cattle ear-tagging for disease control and breeding planning. During an academic internship at Inyange Savannah Industry in 2021, Agnes conducted vital laboratory milk testing to ensure milk quality.
In 2020, she furthered her practical experience in farm management during an internship at UR Nyagatare Farm, engaging in tasks like acaricide spraying, dehorning, and more. Beyond academics, Agnes served as the Minister of Social Affairs, Health, and Environment in the guild council committee at UR Nyagatare from 2019 to 2021, actively assisting fellow students and engaging in community activities like constructing kitchen gardens and cleaning rural roads for better health and hygiene.
She also earned digital badges from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). She now eagerly anticipates dedicating a year to serving the local community in Nyamagabe District, embodying her passion for agriculture and community development.
