Claudia Njoloma is from Blantyre, Malawi. She recently graduated from the Catholic University Of Malawi with a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Development Studies. She has volunteered at Mthunzi wa Kachere Community Based Organization which is based in Blantyre, Machinjiri, where she offered guidance and advice to help cultivate self-esteem and community involvement in most of the community members, which included the youths, women, the elderly, support groups, and the people living with disabilities. She also developed service plans to maintain intact families and improve family functioning. Claudia believes that the opportunity to serve with CorpsAfrica will be her life-changing experience because she will get to discover new places, families, and friends. Also, it will help to develop her career, as working with rural communities has always been her passion. And as a development practitioner, she believes that rural activities affect the majority of the economy, so as young leaders, we must be willing to work with rural communities to help them implement small-scale high, impact projects that are community lead thereby enhancing rural development.
