Volunteer Liaison

Wongani Annastanzia Mwasinga holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Wongani served as a CorpsAfrica Cohort 6 Volunteer in Kadyalunda Village in Southern part of Balaka district. This role gave her vast skills and knowledge in project design and management through the use of the Human Centered Design tools, Asset Based Community Development and Community-Led Development. These skills have contributed to how Wongani designs projects that are community led at the same time placing people at the center of development. Wongani has contributed to the sustainable development growth of Kadyalunda community by facilitating construction of Ntchesa Culvert Bridge which was funded over $3,000 by CorpsAfrica and support from Friends of Malawi Association-UK (FOMA). She has also contributed to achieving good health and wellbeing by constructing Chioza Under-5 Clinic which was funded $10,208.79 by U.S Embassy Ambassadors Special Self Help Fund and Ntchesa Classroom Block Construction Project in Kadyalunda Village funded $9,573.77 by Purpose Earth Grant. Wongani is a 2024 Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program alumni where she worked as a Nutrition and Diets Intern with The Aliveness Project in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
