Kenan Mutwiri Mutegi is a passionate and emerging professional in programs and project management, with a strong foundation in Development Studies and Environmental Management. His experience spans various roles in INGOs, Community-Based Organizations, and consultancy assignments, primarily through volunteer and internship positions. Kenan’s expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including technical writing for proposals and reports, data collection and analysis, concept note development, needs assessments, project monitoring and evaluation, environmental impact assessments, and research in sustainable development. Kenan’s practical skills are diverse and his knowledge extends to humanitarian sphere standards, program monitoring and evaluation, non-profit administration, and project management. He also has experience in counseling, donor mapping, and safeguarding policies. At the International Transformation Foundation (ITF), he led a research process for an EU Erasmus Plus project and secured a partnership grant through proposal writing. Additionally, during his tenure with ADRA in South Sudan, he contributed to proposal development, concept notes, and needs assessments. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. This has been supplemented with numerous professional development programs, covering topics such as food security, proposal writing, and child protection. By volunteering at CorpsAfrica, Kenan has gained more skills in community-led development, Human-Centered Design, and Asset-Based Community Development. Kenan’s career trajectory demonstrates a commitment to addressing critical development challenges, particularly in areas of food security, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience. With his combination of academic knowledge, practical experience, and ongoing professional development, he is well-positioned to make meaningful contributions to the field of international development and humanitarian work.
