Margaret Wanjiru Mungai is passionate about catalyzing positive change in communities, she believes in the transformative power of small actions and the ripple effect they create. With a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development and a background in social work, she has dedicated her career to serving marginalized populations and fostering inclusive growth. Diverse experience includes internships with organizations such as the Rural Initiative Development Program and attachments program with the Sub-County Children’s Office, where she honed her skills in community engagement and advocacy. Additionally, she has collaborated with Plan International to mentor young girls, further expanding her expertise in community empowerment.
Currently, she is making an impact as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Malawi in the eighth cohort, after finishing her service with CorpsAfrica/Kenya in the second cohort where she facilitates community-driven development projects and facilitates grassroots initiatives aimed at sustainable change. Her role involves working closely with local stakeholders to identify needs, mobilize resources, and implement solutions that empower communities to thrive.
In addition to her professional endeavors, she is also actively contributing to communities through leadership roles, serving as an organizing secretary in the alumni association and taking on various other leadership positions. With a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and social justice, she is dedicated to driving meaningful progress and creating a brighter future for all.
