Lucie Mujawamariya was born and raised in Rusizi district in the Western Province of Rwanda. She currently holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing from MAKERERE UNIVERSITY in Uganda. She attended her Advanced level of secondary school and University education under the support of a MasterCard foundation scholarship because of her academic talent. She is passionate about serving the community and particularly working together with economically disadvantaged families to promote community development as she came from the same background. Previously she did a one (1) year professional internship at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUK) as an intern Nurse where she provided nursing care to patients and put smiles on many patients’ faces in the hospital, taught junior nurses as well as student nurses about evidence-based nursing care practices. Now she is a nurse who is ready and happy to work with multidisciplinary disciplines to promote community health.
