Lara is a Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) graduate with a Degree in Business Administration. She is a vibrant, hardworking, ambitious, and dedicated individual with a strong passion for humanitarianism and philanthropy. To pursue her passions, she has volunteered for several organisations, including Mzuzu Crisis Nursery in Mzuzu, which assists young children under the age of three that lack parental care. She also served as a board member for the Mzuzu chapter of Hearts without Borders, an NGO that works to feed, clothe, and empower the underprivileged. She assisted in the successful implementation of a donation initiative, and she has provided cleaning services in pediatric wards and assistance in hospitals such as St. John’s Hospital in Mzuzu and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre. Lara has demonstrated leadership skills from a very young age. She is currently a Changemaker under the 2023 Youthwave Changemakers leadership program, which entails educating young, passionate ambitious leaders in advocacy, civic engagement, health, gender, and education. Before joining CorpsAfrica she most recently worked at Uromed Clinic as an administrative assistant, where she honed both her technical skills and her ability to work well in a team. She is confident that working with CorpsAfrica will change her life since it will require her to step outside her comfort zone and engage with a cause greater than herself. She is thrilled to have been given the chance to work with CorpsAfrica and contribute to improving many people’s lives and the country.
