Blessings Mtukula is a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a BSc in Irrigation Engineering from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Throughout her academic journey and work experience, she has developed a robust skill set in community engagement, irrigation systems design, and water resource management. She has work experience in development and humanitarian projects. As a Research Assistant for World Vision Malawi, she collected data on water and sanitation services mapped households. She linked families to primary water points to give the monitoring and evaluation team a comprehensive understanding of water access in the Chiradzulu District. As a field assistant for Concern Worldwide, she also facilitated the distribution of improved grain and legume seeds to vulnerable farmers in Mangochi. Additionally, as an intern for the Greenbelt Authority, she worked with small and medium-scale farmers, assisting with irrigation scheme management and operation. She is an alumnus of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre (RLC), South Africa, Online Cohort 5 under the Civic Leadership track. She is passionate about using her skills towards sustainable development initiatives and building resilient and self-reliant communities.
