Joana Msukwa is an Economics graduate from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. She is a motivated young individual passionate about making a positive impact in the community, especially on issues related to women and girls economic empowerment. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Joana worked as an Economist intern at Blantyre Agriculture Development Division under the government graduate internship program, which exposed her to working with several rural communities on development projects. She has also worked as a Research Assistant for the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA). Joana enjoys sightseeing, listening to music, and is open to new adventures. During her time at the university, she was also a member of the Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity (LEO) club, which equipped her with leadership skills and developed her love for serving others. She strongly believes serving with CorpsAfrica will be an exciting journey to discover her full potential far from her comfort zone. She is thrilled to be a part of a dynamic team that will transform the lives of rural communities across Malawi.
