Mable Mpagaja is a communication specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communication obtained in 2021 from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), formerly known as The Polytechnic. She is pursuing a Financial Accounting diploma under the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). She worked as a Court Reporter at the Lilongwe Judiciary Criminal Division from 2021 to 2022. Some of her responsibilities were attending court sessions, recording court proceedings, and transcribing court proceedings. In 2020, she worked with the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) as a Presiding Officer during the second presidential elections. Taking on this leadership role at such a young age helped her be confident and believe in herself more. Before she completed her tertiary education, she volunteered at Women Inspire in 2020. Women Inspire was founded by a young lady whose aim is to encourage and inspire girls to stay in school. She worked on a project known as Big Sister. She visited some secondary schools in Lilongwe, where she empowered girls and conducted activities such as writing competitions and rewarding well-performing students. Mable is passionate about community development and desires to implement high-impact and sustainable projects in rural communities. She believes that the opportunity to be a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will be a life-changing experience as she will grow personally and professionally and help impoverished communities realize and use their skills and capabilities.
