Osman Leedhakar Moyo is a mature, self-motivated, dedicated, and diligent certified media practitioner with higher levels of integrity. He possesses competent knowledge and varied experience in the communication field (journalism, marketing, public relations, communication for Development and research), having gone through appropriate studies and training pertaining to these fields. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism obtained in 2020 from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Science, formerly The Polytechnic, and certificates in Management Strategies for People and Resources by YALI Network and Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Reporting by EVCO organization. Osman has over 5 years of experience in the media industry, having worked for Malawi News Agency as a reporter and Assistant District Information Officer in Nkhatabay for over a year and as a reporter and producer at Radio Islam and Angaliba Television. Osman is passionate about serving marginalized groups in any way possible, including being a mouthpiece through the publication of their voices. He also advocates for climate change initiatives, climate-smart agriculture, early childhood development, no discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, among others. Above all, he is open-minded and eager to continue learning and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
