Joy Bosibori Mogeni is currently a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya passionate about community-led development, Asset Based Community development, Youth Empowerment Environmental, and Wildlife Conservation. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Geography and Religion from Kabarak University, which complements her passion for empowering others through education and engagement. She has previously volunteered with World Leaders of Today, a Non-Governmental Organization of Environment and Wildlife Conservation where she worked with women, girls, and the community at Amboseli National Park Ecosystem empowering them economically through projects like Tembo Tailors projects where women could sew and sell the products thus earning them income. Environment and wildlife conservation being her passion she has worked in various parks across the country including Amboseli National Park, Tsavo East National Park, Tsavo West National Park, Nakuru National Park, and Nairobi National Park. Moreover, she has empowered young girls and women at the informal settlements of Kibera through various activities including Sports activities, conservation education through a program known as Conservation Cubs and Own Your Crown Choir for Women and Girls inspiring them to embrace their potential. She is also a climate change champion where she has participated in various climate change initiatives among them being National Town Hall Consultation, tree growing, and volunteering as a rapporteur during the Africa Climate Summit and Africa Youth Climate Assembly. Through her volunteering experience, she has gained various skills including administrative skills, public speaking skills, Report writing, Leadership skills, organizational skills, disaster management skills, First Aid skills, Conflict Resolution, and technical skills. With a heart for service and a belief in the power of small actions, Joy strives to create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
