Thomas Mogaka is a dedicated professional who has been working for 25 years to
empower marginalized individuals in both rural and urban areas of Kenya. He is a
community-focused leader who possesses excellent skills in team management,
project coordination, and aligning initiatives with organizational objectives. He has a
proven track record of cultivating strong partnerships and leading high-value
stakeholder engagements with a focus on fostering growth and creating a positive
impact. He is highly skilled in programming, community mobilization, conflict
resolution, facilitation, budgeting, financial oversight, coaching and child and youth
development.
In his most recent role as a Senior Partnership Facilitator at Compassion
International, Thomas was responsible for developing and implementing vital
partnership strategies to support the organization's operations in Kenya. He oversaw
end-to-end administration and capacity building for Compassion Church Partners in
relation to local resource mobilization, capacity building, programming, and financial
oversight. He was also instrumental in building the capacity of other Partnership
Facilitators and onboarding new employees.
Previously, Thomas worked with the F.P.F.K Child and Youth Development Centre as
a Project Director and with a NORAD-funded Programme as a Volunteer Social
Worker and Project Manager. Thomas holds both an MA and Post-graduate Diploma
in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, a BA in
Sociology and Geography from Kenyatta University, a Diploma in Transformational
Church Leadership from PAC University, and Certificates in Counselling from
Daystar University.
