Mmatau Hazel Rashitjane is a community development practitioner with a strong academic background from the University of Johannesburg, holding both a Bachelor’s and Honours degree in Community Development and Leadership. With two years of experience, she has worked on initiatives such as a food gardening project promoting food security and sustainable agricultural practices (SDG 2 and SDG 12) and a pad drive campaign to address menstrual hygiene and gender equality (SDG 3 and SDG 5). Hazel has also participated in the Stepping Stones program and supported Amnesty International’s human rights campaigns.
Dedicated to creating meaningful change, she focuses on participatory, strengths-based approaches to community development. Hazel’s decision to join CorpsAfrica reflects her passion for empowering marginalized communities and inspiring sustainable development.
