Pempho Nicole is a dedicated advocate for human rights, holding a Bachelor of Social Science degree focused in Human Rights from the University of Livingstonia. She also has an Advanced Human Rights Certificate on Women’s Rights in Africa from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. Her passion for quality education, access to justice, and food security have driven her to engage deeply with issues affecting marginalized communities. She has worked with the Office of the Ombudsman as an Investigations Intern. She also worked with the Malawi Human Rights Commission as an Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights intern where she learned about the right to food and pillars of food security. Her experiences there strengthened her commitment to fostering equitable access to essential services and ensuring that the voices underrepresented are heard. With a strong belief that education is a fundamental human right, she works tirelessly to promote initiatives that enhance educational opportunities for all. She is equally passionate about addressing food security challenges, recognizing the critical link between access to food and the ability to participate fully in society. After understanding the different approaches CorpsAfrica uses to foster development, she believes it will allow her to participate in bringing high-impact initiatives and promoting social stability; and she remains focused on creating sustainable solutions that empower rural communities in Malawi. She is very excited about this journey.
