Precious Mithi is a graduate of the University of Livingstonia with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, where he developed a strong passion for improving community health outcomes. He also holds postgraduate certificates in Community and Primary Health Care from Mzuzu University, Modelling of Infectious Disease Dynamics from Munster University| Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research| Mzuzu University| University of Livingstonia, Culture for Data Use in Vaccine Remote Temperature Monitoring from MUBAS. Since 2022, he has volunteered for various health programs, including immunization and environmental health campaigns, actively contributing to the promotion of public health in Malawi. He has worked with key organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, and the Malawi Ministry of Health in the year 2023 through institutions like Rumphi District Hospital, Mapale Urban Health Centre and David Golden Memorial Hospital, where he played a vital role in contributing in the coordination of large-scale health initiatives. Precious has experience as a Primary Health Care Officer, Extended Program of Immunization Officer, and Environmental Health Officer. His work has focused on vaccine administration, disease prevention, and health education, particularly in underserved rural areas. Precious has recently been bagged with a certificate in advanced studies in Global Health and Sustainable Development from National Taiwan University (College of Public Health), enhancing his ability to address Malawi’s public health challenges with sustainable, long-term solutions. Precious has also completed his training in Asset-Based Community Led Development and Human Centred Design, by CorpsAfrica.
