Wisdom Mhango is a water resources management specialist and an Environmentalist. A graduate from Mzuzu University with a Bachelor of Science in Water resources management and development obtained in 2023. He possesses a Diploma in Environmental Management, which he received from LUANAR (NRC campus) in 2018. He has also been presented with a certificate from the Society of Water and Sanitation Scientists (SWASS) and a certificate in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) (pending) from Mzuzu University. Wisdom is passionate about water and waste management, which drove him to conduct a research project investing knowledge, attitudes, and practices of coastal communities on waste management. He has worked for the Nkhata Bay District Council as a Data Enumerator under the Unified Beneficiary Registry (UBR) project. He also worked as a data enumerator during the 2018 Malawi Population and Housing Census conducted by the National Statistical Office. He was also involved in the enrolment process of potential beneficiaries for the Malawi Social Cash Transfer project (MSCTP) in Nkhata-bay and Kasungu districts. This experience has strengthened his ability to work with rural communities and refined his communication and data collection skills. Apart from the vast work experience obtained from different tasks, he also possesses knowledge in environmentally friendly techniques such as tree seedling planting, charcoal briquette making, bio-sand filters, and sun driers made from locally available materials. For body maintenance, Wisdom usually likes playing soccer, watching movies, and listening to music when he has free time.
