Dr. Kidist is a dedicated medical doctor whose journey to achieving this profession was marked by resilience and determination. Studying medicine at Adigrat University, she navigated numerous challenges, including delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a conflict in the northern region of the country. Despite these hurdles, Dr. Kidist completed her studies and went on to gain hands-on clinical experience during a year-long medical internship. Her passion extends beyond individual patient care to a broader focus on public health. She has actively sought training in areas like malaria management, adolescent and youth sexual health, and life support skills, which align with her commitment to making a community-level impact. Currently serving as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia, Dr. Kidist works closely with rural communities to help develop sustainable solutions, reflecting her dedication to public health and community empowerment. Throughout this journey, Dr. Kidist has shown unwavering determination and a genuine desire to use her medical skills for the betterment of society, especially in underserved areas. Her focus on public health illustrates her belief in addressing the root causes of health challenges at the community level.
