Kerry McNamara is a Senior Advisor at the OCP Group, a global plant nutrition company headquartered in Morocco (and a founding funder of CorpsAfrica). From 2016 through 2022, he built and led OCP’s North American subsidiary, OCP North America, Inc. From 2010 to 2016, he served as an Advisor in the Office of the Chairman & CEO at OCP, working on a broad range of international issues and projects, after consulting for OCP and other international clients from 2008 to 2010. From 1996-2008, at the World Bank, he worked on programs designed to strengthen the contribution of information and communication technologies to economic development and poverty reduction. From 1993-96, he served as Executive Director of the Civic Education Project (CEP), an initiative financed by philanthropist George Soros that helped revive teaching and research in the social and policy sciences at universities in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Kerry led the expansion of CEP from a start-up project in one country to a region-wide organization serving universities in more than a dozen countries. A political scientist by training (University of Chicago), he has served as a Research and Teaching Fellow at Harvard, taught for two years at the University of Notre Dame, and was one of the early staff members of the EastWest Institute in New York.
