Mpho Mbatha is an International Relations graduate specializing in Economics, passionate about gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. Growing up in Katlehong, South Africa, she witnessed systemic inequalities that ignited her advocacy for social justice. As a survivor of sexual abuse, Mpho uses her story to raise awareness of gender-based violence and empower women and girls. Mpho has worked with organizations like CYGEN Commonwealth and SAIIA, advocating for sexual and reproductive health rights. She participated in the UNLEASH Lab and the African Union Youth Workshop and completed leadership programs like YALI’s Civic Leadership Track. Mpho is committed to inclusive policymaking, youth mentorship, and community-driven solutions to inspire sustainable change.
