Youssoupha Marone was born in Dakar, Senegal, and pursued his humanities in Sokone, Fatick region, Foundiougne department. From an early age, he cultivated a strong attachment to his community and values, which later shaped his passion for journalism. Driven by a deep desire to contribute to societal development, Youssoupha embarked on a career in media, gaining experience through internships covering politics, economics, and culture. His work has always focused on giving a voice to marginalized communities and highlighting social realities. Realizing that journalism alone couldn’t achieve the profound change he envisioned, Youssoupha joined the 7th cohort of CorpsAfrica/Senegal Volunteers and later the 6th cohort of CorpsAfrica/Rwanda. Through these roles, he transitioned from storytelling to hands-on community development, implementing innovative and sustainable solutions to improve living conditions for vulnerable populations. Currently, as an Exchange Volunteer in Rwanda, Youssoupha is dedicated to strengthening his skills and making a lasting impact on society.
