Dorcas Mapitsing comes from Limpopo and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management and a degree in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University. Dorcas is a self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented individual dedicated to making a meaningful and impactful difference in the world. She is passionate about environmental consciousness, sustainable development, social justice, and community development. Dorcas has experience as an Intern for the Social Impact Division at Stellenbosch University where she assisted with administrative work. She also interned with Heartflow where she was overseeing the sustainable initiatives of the organisation. Her experiences of being involved in student organizations that worked with communities have fueled her passion for wanting to be a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in order to make a positive change in developing rural communities of South Africa.
