Alice Kamwende Kihiu is a dedicated and result-oriented graduate in Conflict Resolution and
Humanitarian Assistance from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. With a
strong commitment to community empowerment and disaster management, Alice has honed her
skills through various roles and volunteer experiences.
Currently volunteering with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, she focuses on Community-Led Development
which empowers communities to take charge of their growth using their resources
using the ABCD model and the HCD as the tool. Her previous experience with organizations
such as Awareness Against Human Trafficking (HAART) Kenya and the National Council of
NGOs have further equipped her with expertise in humanitarian aid, stakeholder engagement,
and research on social issues.
Alice possesses a diverse skill set that includes disaster management planning, hazard
mapping, effective communication during emergencies, and conflict resolution. She is adept at
conducting training workshops, creating educational materials, and facilitating community
outreach programs. Alice’s academic background has also equipped her with the knowledge
and skills required in her field of work. She has also demonstrated her leadership and
compassion as a certified first aider with the Kenya Red Cross.
Passionate about alleviating human suffering, Alice seeks opportunities to contribute to
impactful humanitarian initiatives while continuing to develop her professional skills and
expertise.
