Brian Kihara is a young, dedicated, and technically skilled community nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with IT from Maseno University. He is a registered, certified, and licensed Dietitian Nutritionist practitioner by the Kenya Nutritionist and Dietitian Institute (KNDI) and a member of the Kenyan Union of Nutritionists and Dietitians (KUNAD).
Brian has extensive experience in nutrition education, health promotion, and community-based interventions addressing food security, malnutrition, and overall public health, particularly in under-resourced communities. His experience includes serving as a Health Nutrition and WaSH intern with Kidogo Early Years. Additionally, his
research interest has led him to participate in various health-related research projects with organizations like CIHEB and APHRC.
Driven by a deep passion for serving humanity, Brian has also volunteered with the Kenya Red Cross, contributing to the efforts that support vulnerable populations. Currently, he is working as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, where he will be serving in Tharaka Nithi County. His goal during this service is to be a change agent, contributing to making a lasting impact by empowering the community and addressing challenges related to health, food security, and development.
Brian is open to challenging opportunities that push him out of his comfort zone, allowing him to fully utilize his skills while contributing to his personal and professional growth. He believes in embracing the little things in life and making the best out of them.
