Sarah Kayembe is a hardworking and passion-driven young lady with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. She is passionate about politics and political studies with a particular interest in International Relations and Diplomacy as well as organizations. She has previously worked as an assistant planning officer with the Council for Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA) as a programs intern and with the Malawi Legal Aid Bureau (LAB). She actively facilitated and coordinated the Civic Participation in Public Procurement for Better Public Resource Allocation (CPPP-BPRA) project with CONGOMA and the Tilitonse Foundation. She successfully coordinated The Chilungamo Justice and Accountability Program with LAB, where she worked as the Eastern and Northern region coordinator for the project funded by the European Union. With project management and Monitoring and evaluation skills gained from the said organizations, she believes that the same will help her while working with CorpsAfrica, especially in the project implementation stages. Being a political scientist with an interest in international relations, she has an understanding of how states and international organizations cooperate in the global context in bringing about development; therefore, borrowing the same idea, she looks forward to working with formal and informal institutions as well as structures found in local communities in bringing about development that can be life-changing. Therefore, she takes the Volunteer program with CorpsAfrica as an opportunity to bring about the change she wishes to see in local communities.
