Sheira Kasinja is a young women’s rights activist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a certificate in Project Management. She is also a Young African Leaders Initiative alumnus with certificates in Civic Leadership and Understanding the Rights of Women. From an early age, she witnessed the gender disparities that plagued her community, and since then, she has been determined to amplify the voices of the marginalized. She volunteered with EQUITAS Malawi prior to Corps Africa, which is one of the prominent non-governmental organisations dedicated to gender equality. During this period, she worked in communities addressing gender inequalities. She is confident that all this was possible because of her passion for social change. In her free time, Sheira finds inspiration and solace within the pages of books. She believes there is a lot in the books that we can imagine.
