Fiona Isimbi Ndamukunda is a 24-year-old graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering who is from the Northern Province of Rwanda. Born in a region known for its fertile landscapes and rich agricultural heritage, Fiona has always been passionate about leveraging agriculture for community development. With both parents eagerly awaiting her graduation, she also holds a certificate from the African Leadership Xcelerator (AlX), which has further enhanced her leadership and innovation capabilities. Fiona’s professional experience includes impactful roles with the Youth Employment and Advancement Network (YEAN), where she worked to empower young people through agricultural initiatives. Additionally, her time with the Green Fund Rwanda allowed her to focus on sustainable practices and environmental conservation, promoting greener agricultural methods. As a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Rwanda, Fiona is committed to serving her community, helping to implement projects that enhance food security and promote sustainable farming practices. Her passion for helping others drives her to create meaningful change and inspire those around her. In her spare time, Fiona enjoys mentoring youth interested in agriculture, participating in community service activities, and advocating for sustainable agricultural practices. Her vision is to contribute to a resilient agricultural sector in Rwanda, ensuring food security and improved livelihoods for her community.
