Amanda Ingabire was born and raised in Rwanda specifically in Kigali City, Kicukiro district. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. During her university studies, she did internships at Ruhande Tree Seed Center and at the International Council for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF); where she also worked a part-time job as an enumerator in collecting tree growth data using a mobile app. After graduating, she did a professional internship in Bridge 2 Rwanda agriculture conservation for different crops, and from this, she learned how to interact with people, also developed practical skills as well as communication and personal skills. Amanda is passionate about listening and caring for people in need, and she values every human race. Amanda believes that the greatest thing that can make someone proud is to help needy people without waiting for a reward, and she also believes that being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will help her to fulfill her dreams as she will be serving the community.
