Philemon IMANIRERA was born in Kamonyi district, Southern Province, Rwanda, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Rwanda College of Agriculture Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM). His professional journey includes working as an Enumerator at Spark MicroGrants in 2024, where he served rural farmers in Burera, Gakenke, and Gicumbi districts. In this role, he advised farmers on resource management, helped modernize agricultural practices, and contributed to job creation based on regional uniqueness. In 2022-2023, Philemon worked as a Store Manager at Optimum Builder and Supply Company Ltd (OBUSCO Ltd), where he was responsible for quality control of grains like maize, beans, and groundnuts while advising farmers on post-harvest management to prevent contamination. During an internship at Kabuye Sugar Works Ltd in 2023, he ensured that sugar met safety and quality standards before distribution. Beyond his academic work, Philemon is passionate about social development and financial literacy. He has participated in various extracurricular activities, including youth empowerment programs, and earned certifications in business project development and sustainable finance. He adores discovering the potential of rural communities and he is committed to fostering their sustainable development as well as rural community resilience.
