Mr. Magatte Diop is a banker and entrepreneur with over 45 years of experience in international finance and management. He was CEO of Citibank Abidjan from 1985 to 1990 and from 1990 to 1993, Vice President and Regional Director of Citibank/- Citicorp for West and Central Africa Before that, he spent 6 years (1975 -1984) at Citibank Dakar, his last position being that of Deputy General Manager of Citibank Dakar. M Diop is also the founder of Peacock Investments, a housing and real estate development company in Dakar with offices and partners in the United States. He is the founder of the ILICO group, which he managed until 2013 before selling it to the SAAR group (now SAAR Vie). He is also the general director of SCI Le Bordelais, a real estate investment company based in Dakar. He is a member of the Board of Directors of SAGEF S.A, a construction company. Mr. Diop has served as President of the African Chamber of Commerce in New York and is very active in promoting initiatives for trade and investment between the United States and Africa.
