Dalitso Grace Chimenya is a committed social scientist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Malawi. With three years of experience in community work, she focuses on improving the welfare of vulnerable and marginalized populations. Her journey of working with communities in various aspects has built her into a remarkable social chameleon with great interpersonal skills and blends so well with different social groups. Dalitso views society as something that can be shaped like art. She strongly believes that society is like a sculptured piece in the hand of a carpenter and that anyone can be that carpenter skillfully curving society into a fine and beautiful artifact. This belief has deepened her passion for community development and social justice. Her background includes social research, youth empowerment, gender, and community development. She has coordinated projects on social protection, nutrition security, livelihoods, and climate change resilience, holding roles such as projects assistant at Jechride Foundation, social researcher and public relations officer at Seventh Day Baptist Health Services, and assistant youth officer intern at Blantyre District Council. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Dalitso is dedicated to implementing innovative and sustainable solutions within communities while supporting Pan-African philanthropy. As a passionate writer and spoken word artist, she uses her literary talents to address social issues and inspire change. She is driven to contribute to social improvement through her work and creative expression. You might call her a wordsmith for she’s a lady of letters.
