Otria Baziwelo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social science (Gender Studies) obtained from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. She is self self-motivated individual and very passionate about community development through youth empowerment and community involvement. Before joining CorpsAfrica she held different leadership positions while in college. In College, she served as vice chairperson and secretary for Jesus Christ Outreach Ministry and Greenwave Club respectively. These positions helped her enhance academic, moral, and spiritual excellence, building relations with stakeholders from different secondary schools on issues affecting the young, and more engagements. She thinks that CorpsAfrica has a practical mechanism of engaging the people in Africa to help them develop themselves and she looks forward to bringing a positive change in the communities in Malawi and beyond. At the same time, she believes that her exposure to CorpsAfrica will provide an experience that will widen her perspective specifically in community development and project management.
