I am Chifundo Moffat Andrew, a Social Science Gender Studies Graduate from the University of Malawi (2023). I am more passionate about Gender, Social and Climate Justice, Human Rights, Rural Development, and Agriculture. During my University education, I have been an active member of several societies which shaped my leadership, Interpersonal, and communication skills. Just to mention a few I have been an Active member at the University of Malawi Gender Justice Clinic, the University of Malawi Child Rights Clinic, the University of Malawi Wildlife and Environmental Society, the University of Malawi Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace, the University of Malawi Gender students Society, University Of Malawi Student Association Parliament member, Chanco Youth, and Action Movement under FPAM. In addition to that, I also served as Communications Officer for UNIMA Feminomics Hub under Valuing Urban Women work project which is championed by Action Aid Malawi and I also participated in the drafting of the Universities Gender Justice Clinic Model which was Championed by the Plan International in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Social Welfare and Community Development. I also served as a Community Liason assistant at Umodzi Green Collect and, a Gender Officer intern at Partners in Action for Sustainable Development before I proceeded to the Malawi Human Rights Commission where I served as a Gender and Women’s Rights Officer intern. I have a certificate in Strategic Organizational and Community Leadership from Nyasa Job Agency, Project Implementation Science and Project Monitoring and Evaluation Certificates from Statsons Research Consultancy, Active Civic Education, and Participation Certificate from Civitas Malawi under Project Citizen. I can veto with no fear of contradiction that I have what it takes to empower communities and effect change in issues that matter as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer.
