Ms. Mareme AÏDARA holds a degree in English with a specialization in Linguistics and Grammar, As a young Senegalese woman aware of local development issues and very committed to community challenges, she joined CorpsAfrica/Senegal for a one-year volunteer service that allowed her to discover Senegal from the depths by having served in the village of Ndiambour located in the Tambacounda region. This discovery affectionately linked her to her host community with whom she succeeded in setting up five micro-projects thereby triggering a development process that draws its strengths from the fundamental values ​​of respect for humans. She subsequently worked for Partners West Africa-Senegal as a Junior Communications Officer. In this role, Marème worked on preventing violent extremism and the fight against terrorism in Eastern Senegal. A mission that deepened her knowledge of Senegal and increased her awareness of the security issues in Senegal. The versatility of her profile shaped her professional career and led her to work with the International Development Research Center (IDRC) as Knowledge Sharing Advisor for the Central and West Africa regional office. Mareme was appointed President of the CorpsAfrica/Alumni Association in October 2023. She joined the Board of Directors of CorpsAfrica/Senegal in February 2024 as a representative voice of the Alumni Association.
