Maria serves as CorpsAfrica’s Senior Advisor for Partnerships and Philanthropy. Using her 30+ years of communications, fundraising and advocacy experience, Maria creates opportunities and meaningful strategies for social impact organizations and social businesses. She served in the Clinton Administration White House, US Department of Energy, US Department of Housing and Urban Development and US International Development Finance Corporation and four US presidential campaigns. Her nonprofit-business-government partnerships experience began in Silicon Valley creating successful housing, education and transportation initiatives from the Mayor’s Office of America’s 10th largest city. Maria is a founding board member of Emerge, a leadership program that has expanded to 27 US states. Maria’s experience serving international NGOs is focused on the global south including several NGOs supporting Africa. She resides in Antigua, Guatemala passionate about our increasingly interconnected world and devoted to creating positive social and environmental change partnerships.
