Mini Job Fair for CorpsAfrica/Ghana Alumni

The Close of Service (COS) celebration marked the end of the G1 Volunteers’ service with CorpsAfrica/Ghana. During the graduation ceremony on November 29, the volunteers transitioned to become Alumni.

As part of the ceremony, the Ghana office organized a mini job fair for the G1 cohort. The Country Office invited potential employers, including development partners and businesses, to market their organizations to the graduating volunteers. Six potential employers participated, including Invictus, Future of Africa, Pan-African Savings and Loans, Axis Ghana Grows, and the Zoomlion Foundation.

At the job fair, organizations introduced themselves, shared their vision and mission, interacted with volunteers, exchanged contacts, and provided information on available opportunities. Six potential employers attended the job fair, including Invictus, an event and marketing company, Future of Africa, an NGO that seeks to reduce the number of children on the streets, Pan-African Savings and Loans, Axis Ghana Grows and the Zoomlion Foundation. Other organizations present at the ceremony included CAMFED, CIKOD, FARIAD, ActionAid, and a few individuals.

The mini job fair was successful, impressing the audience with the richness of the CorpsAfrica program and the volunteers’ experiences during their service year.
