Gora Astou WAR graduated as a Monitor of Educational Communities and holds a scientific baccalaureate (S2) obtained in 2017. He studied for 3 years at Cheikh Anta DIOP University in the pharmacy department. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Gora Astou WAR has accumulated a wealth of professional and volunteer experience. From January 2021 to August 2023, he served in the National Civic Service as a volunteer for citizen emergence at the Pikine/Guediawaye Adolescent Counseling Center. During this period, he also volunteered with the Senegal Youth Consortium. From March to September 2020, he worked with Médecins Sans Frontières as a hygienist at the Dalal Jamm Hospital in Guediawaye as part of the COVID-19 response program. From 2017 to 2019, as coordinator of the movement named Les Animateurs Sans Frontières, he collaborated with the European Union in a program called C-Génial, worth 27,001,658 FCFA. This program allowed the construction of 10 collective sumps for 30 households per sump, as well as 101 individual sumps for the management of liquid waste and the distribution of 208 trash cans. Since 2010, he has been a member of the youth movement Les Animateurs Sans Frontières, which works in the fields of education, health, environment, and leadership. As a volunteer for CorpsAfrica/Senegal, Gora Astou WAR served in the village of Diounto, located 9 km from Kounguel, in the central zone of Senegal. During his volunteer service, he was particularly interested in reviving the cereal processing unit to enable the community to renovate the premises and acquire a millet grinding machine and a huller. Today, with CorpsAfrica. He has realized that experience is never enough. Every day comes with new lessons. He served in Cohort 7 of CorpsAfrica/Senegal and Cohort 8 of CorpsAfrica/Malawi as an Exchange Volunteer.
