Chikondi Felix Dula is from Malawi and holds a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries from Mzuzu University. He is passionate about improving people’s lives, particularly in the areas of food security and livelihoods. He worked as an Aquaculture Extensionist with the Sustainable Fisheries, Aquaculture Development, and Watershed Management (SFAD-WM) project, funded by the Africa Development Fund (ADF), in Mulanje district, to improve the nutrition security and value addition for fish farming communities. He was also involved in the Post-Cyclone Idai and Kenneth Emergency Recovery and Resilience Programme (PCIREP) as a Government Intern, focusing on restoring livelihoods, improving well-being, and building the resilience of affected fish farmers to climate shocks, disasters, and extreme weather events to enhance their adaptive capacities and preparedness. In 2023, Chikondi joined CorpsAfrica/Malawi’s seventh cohort, where he served in the Nyundo community, implementing the primary project of “Nyundo Under-Five Clinic Shelter Construction” with support from CorpsAfrica and FOMA UK. Now serving as an Exchange Volunteer in Rwanda, Chikondi views this experience as a time for discovery, development, and learning that will enhance both his professional growth and his commitment to Pan-Africanism. In his free time, Chikondi enjoys praying, reading, and watching football.
