She was born and raised in Rwanda. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural-Economics, from the University of Rwanda’s College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, which she obtained in 2017. Cecile before joining CorpsAfrica, conducted her professional internship in the Kirehe district where she learned how to work with the community, helping them to find solutions to their problems and motivating them to work together as a team, as she was working as a Cooperative Support Officer in 2018 and she also did an academic internship in NAEB in the Monitoring and Evaluation department. She also got a chance to participate in the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator in their 4-week program called English Learning Bridge Participant, where she learned how to be self-reliant and work readiness behaviors at the beginning of 2019.
At the end of 2019, Cecile joined CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer and she served in the remote area of the Ngororero district where she served for 20 months, where she was facilitating and empowering local communities by working together in different activities and by helping them to be more resilient. She has participated in the implementation of the sewing project, which served as the community’s main project.
In October 2021, Cecile extended her service in CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer in Bugesera District in a remote area where she served for one year, where facilitated and empowered local communities by working together in different activities that allow community members to be more resilient and be aware that they have the power in themselves to change their lives through working together as a community. She participated in the implementation of the primary project of livestock which helped the community members to generate more income through livestock farming.
In October 2022, Cecile joined CorpsAfrica/Morocco as an exchange Volunteer where she will continue to serve as a Volunteer by facilitating the empowerment of local communities in rural areas. She is passionate about community development and the wellness of others
